Overview

In its third major release, VPN-Q 2010 took remote access security to the next level. VPN-Q 2010 was a multi-layer remote access gateway solution which implemented real-world security principles by layering strong authentication, health state checking, quarantine control, network access controls and protocol filtering in a single solution. Costs were kept low as there was no need to upgrade network equipment, server operating systems or Windows client version.

The user launched the Winfrasoft Connection Dialer, entered their logon credentials, and clicked Connect. VPN-Q dialled and connected to the corporate quarantine network while the appropriate checks were carried out. A 'traffic light' summary screen kept the user informed of their connection progress.

If there was a problem getting connected, a customisable remediation page was displayed informing the user what should be done next.
